Note :
Charles Peconnet is one of the great forgotten figures of late 19th-century jewelry history. A designer and jeweler, he set up shop on boulevard Magenta, then moved to rue des Bois in Paris in 1876. His talent was rewarded several times at the Paris World's Fairs, including the gold medal for jewelry in 1889 and 1900, where critics hailed him for his high jewelry rings and brooches. The brooch we present is a fine example of his craftsmanship as a glyptician.
Experts: Cabinet Salit (Jean-Norbert Salit and Alix Ricard).
