British infantry officer's saber. Handle in stingray with filigree. Gilded brass "Gothic" frame, with openwork shell guard at sword and barrel under British crown. Round-backed curved blade with traces of maker's markings. Iron plate scabbard (bowl missing), with two bracelets and two rings. Length: 101.5 cm (overall); 88.5 cm (blade). A.B.E. Mid 19th century.
