Large model of a vintage ocean liner
based on an existing (unidentified) model from the 1920s-1930s.
Made with a copper and brass hull and wooden compartments. The model can be disassembled, with interior bulkheads, cabins and decks visible, showing many details of life on board.
Remains of an old electric motor (untested).
It bears a plaque in honor of Clara Margaret Sherret Rogers (née Dean) 1859-1885 - age 26.
Beautiful period patina, missing parts (fireplaces...) and wear consistent with its age.
