Iran - Mid 20th century Original afchar. Wool velvet on cotton foundation. Ruby-red field decorated in a style reminiscent of French soapmaking, with four sprays of geometrically stylized flowers in polychrome framing a multicolored floral composition. Triple borders, the main one sky-blue with rows of polychrome floral buds. Dimensions: 168 x 136 cm. (Carpet having been cleaned. Some natural oxidation)
