Original, large and quite fine Tabriz.
Wool velvet on cotton foundation
Beautiful polychromy. Ruby field with original wild animal decoration (motifs inspired by Persian miniatures under the Safavid dynasty, Shah Abbas the Great, the Persian Louis XIV) surrounding a large central rosette with polychrome flower crown.
Four ivory spandrels with flowery garlands. Triple borders, the main one in midnight blue.
