CHINA in the tradition of Nain carpets - Lot 684
CHINA in the tradition of Nain carpets Important and fine Sino Nain. Silky wool velvet on cotton backing. Ivory field decorated with midnight-blue and old-gold stylized flower and foliage scrolls and garlands, adorned with a large, finely drawn central rosette with a polychrome diamond-shaped floral crown. Beautiful frame forming four pale pink and bluish-gray spandrels with stylized flowers. Five borders, the main one beige, with a sowing pattern of fine crenellated branches inlaid with multicolored floral bulbs. Circa 1985/90 H. 383 x W. 300 cm Good condition Fine finish
