Important Savonnerie-style rug (France), early 20th century Dimensions: 540 x 420 cm Wool velour on a cotton backing. In good overall condition. An ivory field, dotted with delicate polychrome floral stems, is bordered by a figurative, old-gold molded frame, highlighted in pink and ivory, adorned with floral compositions and acanthus interlacing linked by a chain of old gold tulips. A delicate pastel ensemble.
