A flat desk with a textured top made of blackened wood, featuring rich decoration imitating Japanese lacquer, executed in a varnish known as “Martin,” depicting palace scenes and pagoda landscapes within red-stained latticework borders.
It features three drawers along the base and three faux drawers on the back.
The top is covered in fawn-colored leather with gold filigree decoration and edged with a molded border.
Ornamentation consists of chiseled and gilded bronze featuring a design of shells, leaves, and scalloped medallions.
