RHONE VALLEY - 18th century. Chest of drawers made of olive wood, rosewood, and cherry wood veneer, with a slightly curved front and geometric marquetry inlays on the top. It features three drawers at the front and is adorned with gilded bronze details such as lock plates, drawer pulls, and front feet. Louis XIV period. Height: 82 cm Width: 119.5 cm Depth: 62 cm Rare instances of veneer lifting and discoloration; normal wear and tear. A copy of an appraisal certificate by Michel RULLIER dated March 2, 1995, may be provided to the buyer. Provenance: Collection of Mr. Camille GAUCHER (1908–1989), then by inheritance.
