Pair of chiseled and gilded bronze andirons depicting Venus and Vulcan seated on molded sarcophagus-shaped pedestals supported by dragons. Concave rectangular base with leaf-motif feet. Early 18th century. Height: 40.5 cm Length: 27.5 cm Depth: 18 cm The iron fittings and a screw on Venus are missing.
