Attributed to Louis DE BOULLOGNE (1654–1733) The Flood. Oil on canvas. Height: 54.5 cm Width: 65 cm Note: Hélène Guicharnaud, an expert on the two Boulogne brothers, viewed the painting at the collector’s home in 2011 and confirmed the attribution. A double-sided preparatory drawing of one of the motifs in this composition was offered for sale at Christie’s New York on January 27, 2022, from the Pierre Durand collection, lot 198, bearing the inscription “Boulogne.”
