FRANCE—late 16th century, early 17th century. A large, molded and carved oak chest that opens at the top with a hinged lid and features a front decoration of projecting panels set within recesses. Features a moraille lock and wrought-iron side locks. The four legs are surmounted by a cornice. Height: 71 cm Length: 195 cm Width: 75 cm Shows signs of wear, age, and has some restored elements.
