JAPAN - Edo Period (1603–1868) Samurai Helmet, Souhatsunari Ken Suji Kabuto Kabuto covered in brown horsehair. THEHEN NO ANA (top opening) made of brass with three tiers. SHIKORO (neck guard) with three tiers made of lacquered iron and orange silk. FUKIGAESHI (flaps) made of leather covered with cracked skin. MABI SA SHI (visor) made of iron covered with dain, with some missing sections; the maedate is made of gilded wood. Diameter: 40 cm Sold with a base
