JAPAN - EDO Period (1603–1868) Kabuto composed of 18 forged iron plates. Thenen no ana made of copper and gilded copper in three tiers. Four-tiered shikoro made of black-lacquered forged iron (slight wear). Black-lacquered wrought-iron fukigaeshi. Mabisashi (visor) made of wrought iron covered with deerskin embossed with stylized facing dragons; the interior is red-lacquered. Maedate made of cut and gilded copper depicting a crescent moon.
