PAKISTAN, Northwest, SWAT region - Lot 60
PAKISTAN, Northwest, SWAT region Four-legged chair with openwork back resting on four turned legs and a marked vertical structure. The seat is made of interwoven leather straps forming a dense, functional weave. The arched backrest is carved with a radiating central motif organized as an incised rosette, whose lines converge on a circular core. The lower part of the backrest is adorned with a frieze of regular spirals, bringing graphic balance to the whole. Two slender side uprights, punctuated by turned rings, frame the backrest and accentuate the verticality of the composition. Wood, leather, old patina, marks of use, broken glued back, reverse.
