SOUTH INDIA, 20th century. Pair of ornamental figures representing standing deities, treated symmetrically. The figures are richly adorned with necklaces, anklets and ear ornaments, and wear a structured headdress extended at the back by a carved headband. Each figure stands on a pedestal evoking a blossoming lotus flower. The raised arms support a summit tray; one of the figures retains a hand-held attribute, partially missing on the other. Wood, old patina, wear marks, accidents.
