After their marriage in 1920, Ernest Guyonneau and his wife moved their store to boulevard Blossac. Adjacent to the store were workshops for forging, assembling and polishing top-of-the-range cutlery, scissors and pruning shears. By 1931, this cutlery business employed 25 people, and its representatives travelled the length and breadth of France. The store closed in 1989. It was the last remaining example of Châtellerault's cutlery industry.
