Kabeja figures were invested with protective powers and consulted in divinatory or ritual contexts linked to the balance of the lineage and the stability of the village. They represent a male-female couple, often arranged back-to-back, symbolizing the complementarity of masculine and feminine principles. The formal symmetry and interiority of the faces underline their spiritual dimension.
