"Aesclepios"

Signed and numbered A 162/1000 HC
Height 46 cm.

Note : A key figure in Greek mythology, Asclepius symbolizes healing. Son of Apollo and trained by the centaur Chiron, he mastered the medical art so well that he raised the dead, earning the wrath of Zeus. Venerated after his death, notably at Epidaurus, he remains associated with the staff encircled by a snake, still a symbol of medicine.
