Léonard BOUDIN, a simple craftsman, demonstrates the destiny that awaited men of merit under the old monarchy. Without money, connections or support, he was quickly recognized for his skill and artistry, and quickly became one of the leading cabinetmakers of his time.
Aided by his master, the admirable and conscientious Migeon, and trained by this incomparable teacher, Léonard BOUDIN left an infinitely varied body of work.
Léonard BOUDIN is perhaps the Master cabinetmaker who has most renewed the art of marquetry.
