Jacques-Antoine LECLERE, or LECLERC (1744-1792), received master's degree in Paris in 1779,
Elegant flat desk in rosewood veneer and frieze. It features a rich inlaid decoration of flowering branches and daisies in light wood reserves, and opens with three drawers. The curved top is entirely sheathed in leather, decorated with gilding and encircled by a large gilded bronze surround.
Fine ormolu ornamentation from the sabots to the uprights, with foliate handles.
Stamped and stamped JME under a crosspiece.
