Note & bibliography:
Giacomo "Jack" Buzzitta (1910-1989), a little-known Italian-American designer, emigrated to the United States as a child and grew up in Grand Rapids, a furniture mecca. Trained at the Kendall School of Design, he became one of the first full-time office furniture designers at Stow & Davis. His work, at once Italian craftsmanship and American modernism, remains a rarity in post-war design.
