Pierre TRAVERSE (1892-1979) Atalante or Woman with a deer Green patina bronze subject. Signed and stamped 'Planquette' on the terrace. Height Height : 70.5 cm. Width : 47 cm. Provenance : - Monsieur Clain's family. Notes : Mr. Clain was the founder of the Aladin brand, which produced a number of ceramic objets d'art in the 1920s-1930s, including subjects created by Pierre Traverse and produced in porcelain. He learned ceramics at the Renoleau factory in Angoulême, where he also worked with sculptors. Finally, in 1944-46, he moved to Le Mans, where he set up the "Sélection" art gallery.
