18th century ITALIAN COLLECTION. The Judgment of Pâris Black stone on grey prepared paper Height : 34 cm. Width : 46 cm. Annotated on verso "Ambroise Dubois". (Small epidermal marks and accidents on the edges) Provenance: - Former collection of José Da Costa E Silva (1747-1819), Portuguese architect, his handwriting on verso "Carnelde(?) José DaCosta 1794". He is notably famous for having sold his collection of early Italian drawings to the Rio de Janeiro library in 1818.
