Pierre Frédéric MATHEY in PARIS White marble and gilt bronze "à la pagode" portico date clock. The signed enameled dial is topped by a bronze subject depicting a flowering vase and surrounded by two white marble and gilt bronze pilasters depicting pagodas and supporting bells. It stands on a pedestal base surmounted by a barrier made of gilded bronze chains and pillars. Wire-suspension movement. Late 18th century Height: 41 cm. Width: 28 cm. Missing date hand, balance wheel probably replaced, chains to be re-attached and minor damage.
