18th century FRENCH SCHOOL, Portrait of a young girl in a blue dress with black stripes, accompanied by her dog. Presented in a brass frame topped with a ribboned bow and forming an easel (Maison Alphonse Giroux). On the back, a handwritten label stating "Jeanne-Marie de Thésut wife of Philibert Gagne de Périgny then Philiberte Gagne de Perigny wife of Bénigne de Saint-Seine; émigrès". Early 19th-century frame signed Giroux. Provenance: - Château de VILLEPREUX - LE GOUZ de SAINT SEINE family.
