Iron mounting, cap chased with foliage, hilt with one main and two secondary branches, single-branch counterguard, curved quillon. Strong punched triangular blade, engraved on the back "Mre Impale de Chatt O de la Garde Mle 1860". A.B.E. SF. Second Empire period.
