Arcellin 1854-type spear sword.
Varnished horn handle with filigree. Brass mounting with square push-button. Brass mounting, three-prong hilt, iron-lined muzzle. Buffalo tie.
Straight blade hallmarked at the heel with hollow sides and flat back engraved "Mre Impale de Chatt Avril 1854", fluted at the tip over 24 cm.
Sheet metal scabbard with two bracelets and two rings. Symmetrical sting punched "B".
B.E. (Slight oxidation on the scabbard). Manufactured circa 1880, according to the blade hallmarks.
Blade length: 100 cm.
