Anne-Marie BERGER (1924-2024) was Marie Laurencin's student and model for over ten years. This work was created by Anne-Marie BERGER in Marie LAURENCIN's studio on rue Vanneau and corrected by her. It features her childhood friend Michelle MANET, who was also a pupil and model of Marie LAURENCIN before becoming a member of the Comédie Française. A version of this work by Marie LAURENCIN is Michèle Manet en petite princesse de théâtre, 1946.
