Thank-you booklet - Comité de l'épée
NRF, 1955
Autograph signed letter "to Jean Reytinas in friendly memory of Jean Cocteau * October 17, 1955".
The sword worn by each academician is donated through a subscription among friends of the impetus, a formation known as the "Comité de l'épée". After the award ceremony, a few days before the reception ceremony under the dome, the members of the committee receive a thank-you booklet. Here's an autographed copy, with a few verses by the poet.
Jean Cocteau was received under the dome on October 20, 1955.
(Traces and foxing).
