Note: Born in 1966, Danhôo is a French artist of Chinese origin. Introduced to painting by artists he had been working with since the 1990s, including Olivier Debré, Vladimir Velickovic, Erró, Antonio Seguí and Robert Combas, Danhôo's simple curiosity about art developed into a real passion. Danhôo's art blends dripping and calligraphy, whose pictorial composition reflects his dual culture. Danhôo invites us into his abstract painting with black-and-white paint projections, expressing a quest for balance. The result is an aerial gesture tracing ideograms above the canvas, symbolizing, according to the artist, our true daily needs such as love, family and health. In this way, Danhôo presents himself to us as the conductor of an ensemble of pictorial symphonies, allowing the emotion of the present moment to flow forth. The chromatic tones vibrate between Asian and Western cultures, linked by one and the same passion: painting.
