Pierre PARROCEL (1670 - 1739) The Flight of the Angel Raphael and Tobias restoring his father's sight Pair of canvases Height : 32 cm Width : 40 cm Slightly missing These two sketches are related to the cycle of fourteen paintings dedicated to the story of Tobie, commissioned by the Duc de Noailles for his townhouse in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, painted between 1733 and 1738, now in the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Marseille (bibliography: exhibition catalog "Marseille au XVIIIe siècle, les années de l'Académie de peinture et de sculpture, 1753-1793", musée des Beaux-Arts de Marseille, 2016, p.223 - 237).
